Target Audience This activity has
been designed to meet the educational needs of
pharmacists.
Statement of Need
This web-based
tutorial demonstrates the use of a drug reference database and
medication management software tool for decision support at
the point of care. The medication management program includes
automated drug comparisons, drug interaction and adverse event
screening, IV compatibility reports, and advanced searching
capabilities to decrease medication errors, thereby increasing
patient safety. Use of this on-line tutorial requires any computer with:
1) Access to internet using browsers:
- Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher,
- Firefox 1.5 or higher,
- Safari 2.0.4 or higher
- Browser must be javascript enabled, accept cookies, and with latest service packs/patches
- We do not support beta versions of any browser
2) Flash v7.0 or higher

Method of Participation There are
no fees for participating and receiving CME credit for this
activity. During the period February 1, 2008 through February 1, 2011
participants must 1) read the learning objectives and faculty
disclosures; 2) study the educational activity; 3) complete the
posttest by recording the best answer to each question in the answer
key on the evaluation form; 4) complete the evaluation form.
A statement of credit will be issued only upon receipt of a completed
activity evaluation form and a completed post-test with a score of 70% or better.
